Iowa · Citizen activist · Speaker

We’re sick of the cooking shows and podcasts. We want action on mRNA.

Dan Twelmeyer is a Des Moines father and citizen activist who turned a family experience with mandates into direct legislative action.

Who is Dan?

Dan is not a lobbyist, elected official, or medical professional. He is a private citizen and cancer survivor whose concern for his daughters’ experiences in nursing education became a wider conviction: bodily autonomy should apply to anything injected in school, clinical placements, and employment.

He took those concerns to Iowa Senator Doug Campbell, helped bring Senate File 360 into public view, and joined researchers and physicians in testimony at the Iowa Capitol.

“As important as these stories are, without accountability they stay stories. We need action.”

How he started

A citizen put it on the record.

Introduced on February 18, 2025, SF 360 proposed prohibiting the administration of defined gene-based vaccines in Iowa. A Senate subcommittee recommended amendment and passage on a 2–1 vote after its March 3 hearing.

The bill did not receive a full committee or floor vote and later died in committee. The record remains an example of an ordinary citizen moving an issue onto the legislative calendar.

The work ahead

Turn concern into action.

Mobilize people. Build pressure. Create change.

01

Pull the shots

I want the COVID mRNA products off the market. Washington and the FDA have had years to act. They have not, so I am taking the fight to Iowa.

02

End the shield

I want the PREP Act declaration terminated. That is the shield that keeps manufacturers out of ordinary court. The house of cards could come down with a stroke of a pen.

03

Stand with the injured

I want the people who were hurt to be heard and helped, not dismissed. Awareness without accountability just leaves the stories as stories.

In his words

“If I would have trusted the experts, I don’t know if I would be sitting here today. The issue at hand is what has been injected into humanity, and nobody in Washington is going to do anything. If this were a food, if this were a vehicle, this would be pulled off the market.”
